Group Participant Transition Announcement

Dear NASW Member,
NASW Assurance Services is always striving to improve the value of your NASW membership. Offering you the most complete package of optional insurance choices to protect you and you family is just one of the ways we say thank you for your loyal membership. Another is to have an insurance provider in place with a knowledgeable and caring staff that understands your profession as well as your insurance needs.
I'm please to tell you that NASW Assurance Services has selected AGIA Insurance Services as your new insurance administrator. AGIA will begin servicing your account as of September 2, 2008. I am also pleased to announce that we have selected The Hartfordi an A+ rated company, as our new group insurance company as of October 1, 2008. If you also have malpractice coverage, please note that American Professional Agency, Inc. will continue to service your professional liability insurance account.
You will receive your new Certificate of Insurance reflecting this change in the near future. When you do, be sure to note your newly enhance benefits at no extra cost to you. I want to reassure you that you are not going to lose any benefits of these changes, nor will your rates increase due to the additional benefits you will be receiving. You will also see a change in the design of your bill for better clarity.
All claims incurred prior to October 1, 2008 will remain the responsibility of Principal Financial Group. Claims incurred on or after October 1, 2008 will be the responsibility of The Hartford, and may be submitted to NASW Assurance Services, PO Box 9060, Phoenix, AZ 85068-9060.
If you utilize an on-line bill paying service, please update the payment address to: PO Box 60290, Los Angeles, CA 90060-0290. On the other hand, if you're paying by Electronic Funds Transfer or Credit Card, premiums will continue to be deducted from your same bank account or charged to your same credit card just as before.
