She is responsible for generating non-dues revenue through group insurance plans and affinity group discounts. In this role, Koblin works with volunteer committees and Boards, professional staff, and members at large. She has developed broker and carrier relationships in the United States, Canada, the U.K., and the EU to support the Institute’s global membership. Ms. Koblin has expertise in industry practices including the establishment of insurance trusts. She is responsible for conducting competitive bidding and recommendation of the insurance program’s third-party administrator.
Ms. Koblin spent more than 12 years in the financial services industry. At a national saving and loan, she conducted market research on various lending practices. Later she worked in the lender’s insurance subsidiary as a manager for operations, where she held licenses in the insurance lines available to their customers. Koblin moved on to positions in other sales and marketing organizations, including a key marketing role at Answerthink Consulting, which provided business solutions and systems integration.
Ms. Koblin earned her bachelor’s degree in Art History at Douglass College and her Master of Arts degree in English from Rutgers University Graduate School. She is a Certified Association Executive.
