Privacy Policy

The NASW Assurance Services, Inc. (ASI) privacy policy reflects our deep commitment to your privacy rights. Because we gather certain types of information about our users when they fill out an online application or request information, we want the user to fully understand the terms and conditions surrounding the capture and use of that information.

To create the best personal experience on the ASI Website, we collect anonymous information that enables us to analyze and improve the User experience. Log files are used to track and monitor traffic patterns throughout the ASI Website for maintenance purposes. These logs are not used to track or monitor personally identifiable information.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Therefore, we will not release any personally identifiable information about our users without their permission other than to authorized third parties, including but not limited to, third-party administrators and insurance carriers for ASI products and services, to be used exclusively in connection with ASI sanctioned marketing and servicing.

ASI reserves the right to release current or past personal information in the event that ASI believes that the Service is being or has been used in violation of the Terms and Conditions of Service or to commit unlawful acts, if the information is subpoenaed or if ASI is sold or acquired.

Information Gathered

When you sign up for an ASI application, we ask you to give us your email address and contact information so that, from time to time, we can send you insurance information, news about ASI and notify you of ASI updates. If you do not opt-in, we will not correspond with you. We will not share your email address with third parties without your express permission other than to authorize third parties, including but not limited to, third-party administrators and insurance carriers for ASI products and services, to be used exclusively in connection with ASI sanctioned marketing and servicing.

ASI does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. Keep in mind that while ASI encourages all third parties involved – including, but not limited to, its affiliates, insurance companies, and advertisers – to adhere to our policies regarding the privacy of our Users and to otherwise handle personal information in a responsible manner, we cannot and do not assume any responsibility for any actions or omissions of third parties, including the manner in which they use information.

How do you change, update, or delete the personal information you have provided to ASI?

If you change your email address and want to be sure to be notified of new features, updates, and enhancements to ASI’s host of services, send an email to [email protected]. If you would like to have your personally identifiable information removed from ASI’s database, please contact us at [email protected], and we will use reasonable efforts to comply with your request. Please be advised that some information is automatically stored in backup copies of our databases that will be accessed only in case of emergency. Such backups cannot be edited, so there may be residual information that will remain within the ASI’s databases, access logs, and other records, which may or may not contain such personally identifiable information. The residual information will not be used for commercial purposes.

What happens if ASI changes this Privacy Policy?

If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated in the privacy policy at the time it was collected, we would notify users by way of email correspondence. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use the information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
