Monica Harrison, MSW, LCSW, (Secretary) (She/Her) is a Licensed Birth Thru Kindergarten Educator and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in the field of improving quality of life for individuals across the lifespan of children through adults for over 27 years. She has a master’s in social work from a joint program between a PWI (Predominately White Institution) named the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and HBCU (Historically Black College and University) named North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, NC. She received her bachelor’s in early childhood education with a Special Education, Birth thru Kindergarten designation from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Since 2022, she has been a Clinical Trainer and Practice Coach of Collaborative Care with the AIMS Center, University of Washington. Providing training and implementation of evidence based Integrated Care models (Collaborative Care, with previous experience in Primary Care Behavioral Health Screening Brief Interventions Referral to Treatment) that requires providing guidance to interdisciplinary teams of professionals and incorporating health equity principles. She has been providing clinical therapy in a private practice since 2022 showing her ability to bring her expertise of years serving individuals and knowledge of Group Home settings, Medical Settings, Inpatient Behavioral Health Settings, Preschool/Kindergarten Educational Settings, Military Settings, and Co-Occurring services settings.
Prior to her current roles as a Trainer/Practice Coach and Clinical Therapist she secured leadership roles as Adjunct Faculty for the Joint Masters of Social Worker program (JMSW) where she also received the schools 2017 Pacesetter Award, Co-Director of Center of Excellence for Integrated Care a consulting non-profit, Behavioral Health Director for Triad Adult and Pediatric Medicine a Federally Qualified Health Center and Professional Development Coordinator for Guilford Child Development. As a healthcare leader, you can hear her leadership insight as a podcaster on the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association (CFHA) Monthly Integrated Care Podcast since 2021. She has also served on the CFHA Board since 2023 as a Director and Treasurer.
