Standing Proxy Vote
A proxy is a measure that allows a representative to make decisions and vote on behalf of a policyholder. A standing proxy is a proxy that will last until it is revoked. In this case, Richard Jones, Preferra’s Board President, is requesting policyholders’ standing proxy vote.
While assigning your proxy to one person can be convenient, entrusting your vote to another person means relinquishing control over your own vote. Additionally, a proxy holder may not always vote in alignment with your wishes. This could potentially lead to decisions that impact you without your full consideration of all perspectives.
It is not too late to change your vote. If you provide your standing proxy and then change your mind, you may revoke it at any time by contacting Preferra Insurance Company RRG in writing or by attending their next meeting of the policyholders. If you already provided your standing proxy but would like to reconsider that decision, you may revoke your standing proxy at any time by sending an email stating “I revoke my standing proxy” to [email protected].
We are making you aware that you do have options on future Preferra votes and it is your decision to participate. Each policyholder may choose whether to vote individually for themselves, or to provide a proxy for someone else to vote in their name, or not to vote at all.
